THE ADVENTURE OF TOM SAWYER
Chapter 6: The Trial




Summer vacation started. Becky went holiday with her family, and Tom was unhappy.

The Muff Potter’s trial started. Tom and Huck remembered the night in graveyard. “Did you talk about the night in graveyard?” Tom said. “No, I didn’t.” Huck answer.
“But, I’m sorry of  Muff Potter. He is friendly and good for us. He didn’t kill the doctor.” Tom said. “Yes, You’re right. Let’s go Muff Potter’s house and take some fruit to his”.
They went to Muff Potter’s house and took some fruits. “I have some fruits for you” they said. “Thank you, you’re good boys” he said. Muff Potter told Tom and Huck, tomorrow he went to go trial. “Don’t worry, you can go with us, we will accompany you.” Tom said and Muff Petter smiled.

The next day, They went to the trial. Tom was sad, he wanted to helped Muff Petter. A man of trial talked him. “Where were you on the night of June 17th?” said the man.
“I was in graveyard” Tom said.
“Did you see any people in there?”
“Yes, I saw Injun Joe, the Doctor and Muff Potter. Injun Joe and the doctor was very noise and Injun Joe killed the doctor with his knife.” Tom said “And they doesn’t see me, because I was behind big trees.”

People in trial was surprised and Injun Joe was out of the building. Tom and Huck was very afraid “Now Injun Joe know about us. He can kill us, too.” Many people wanted heard about the boys adventure. Tom was happy because he helped Muff petter. But, at night Tom didn’t sleep because he was afraid of Injun Joe.
