Once upon a time, in the residence palace there was a man named batara guru, he  recommended gods and goddesses contributed their power to build a palace.

Anyone who does not agreed and refuted will be punished, that is they are lost their arms and leg. Heard the announcement naga god was afraid and sad, because he does not arms and leg. Naga god told to batara narada who is youngest brother batara guru. Batara guru was confused, then naga god was cried and shed his tears. Afterwards, his tears fall become the three eggs. Batara narada recommended naga god bought his egg to batara guru.

When naga god on the way, a eagle bird asked him "where do you go?"
Naga god does not answered the question, the eagle felt naga god was arrogant. The eagle continuous to question him until two eggs his brought down. When the egss left one he kept moved.

Finally, naga god arrived in the palace and gave one egg to batara guru. Then the egg hatch and become a very beautiful baby. The baby grew up into a beautiful girl and later known Dewi Sri.

After Dewi Sri adult she had the power to produce rice seeds that can be ate in the khayangan. All people in there too ate rice. Then one day, Gods and Goddesses descended from heaven to earth, allowing a young man from the earth to visit Khayangan and sae rice plants. During the khayangan the young man was fascinated by the fragrant smell of rice being cooked and then he wished he could taste the fragrant rice.

To realize his wish, the young man faced Dewi Sri as Dewi Padi to be allowed to stay longer in Khayangan and was given the opportunity to learn to plant rice. Dewi Sri then allowed her to stay longer and taught her how to grow rice. After learning all the stages of rice farming, the young man was also allowed to enjoy rice as a delicious food from Khayangan. After staying for some time in Khayangan, the young man wanted to return to earth and then he asked permission to Dewi Sri to leave Khayangan. Unbeknownst to Dewi Sri, in the morning the young man left khayangan and took rice seeds to be brought to earth. Arriving on earth, the young man distributed rice seeds and taught his neighbors to grow rice so that one day on Java Island seemed to be used when rice was ready to be harvested.

When Gods from Khayangan descend to earth, are shocked to see plants that only exist in Khayangan have been planted on earth, immediately the god immediately met and told Dewi Sri The god was furious with Dewi Sri who was considered to have given rice seeds to the youth of the earth. Knowing this, Dewi Sri immediately went down to earth and met the young man who had stolen her seed. When he first met the young man, Dewi Sri was angry because he had betrayed his trust. But the young man begged forgiveness to Dewi Sri and apologized for all the actions she had done.

To Dewi Sri, the young man admitted his mistake and was ready to accept the punishment. The young man told Dewi Sri the reason for stealing rice seeds was to make the earth's inhabitants healthier and stronger by eating rice. This is done not only for him but for the sake of many people. Dewi Sri, who compassionately forgives the young man and allows rice to be planted and eaten by the inhabitants of the earth, but Dewi Sri proposes several requirements that must be fulfilled by the young man. The inhabitants of the earth were allowed to plant rice and enjoy rice with the conditions when planting rice to do irrigation regularly, weeding wild plants around the fields, maintaining soil fertility, harvesting rice with careful use of ani-ani, not allowed to dispose of rice and rice, allowing birds to take part in enjoying rice ore as a form of sharing with other living beings and are not allowed to kill birds that participate in eating rice seeds.

The very strong message delivered by Dewi Sri to the young man was to treat rice properly like its own child and to follow the rhythm of nature. If the inhabitants of the earth deny their promises, Dewi Sri will send disaster because it has damaged nature.
